Year 5

Welcome to Year 5!

See what last year's Year 5 got up to below!

Greetings from Fairplay House

Just to let you know that the children are all fast asleep having enjoyed a fantastic first day!

Group 1 were straight into the challenge of the Big Swing in less than perfect conditions but the children were amazing! So many of the children were able to overcome their fears and took the plunge! A particular shout out to Cheyanne, Brianna, John and Rome who were superb at shaking off their fears!

Group 2 went into the caves and again such a wonderful display of courage and resilience from the children! All the children went down with some coaxing!

Group 3 were attempting the tricky skill of archery. Antwone managed to burst the balloon and score the most points. Not something that happens very often at all!

Group 4 went into the woods for a variety of activities: hiding, tracking and a variety of wood based games. Much fun was had!

Once everyone had returned from their activities, the route for the nightwalk was shared and the children had to memorise their route. They had a delicious meal of pizza, chips and salad before setting off into the darkness to make their way back to Fairplay House without a map insight and only two torches in each group. It was muddy and dark but the children themselves used the words awesome, fun and exciting!

After showers, a little relax and a calming hot chocolate the children all went to bed pleasantly sleepy ready for a good night's rest. More news will follow tomorrow and we will select some photos for you to see what the children's days are looking like!

Good night from us!

The pupils have today taken part in a range of activities and are all looking forward to watching Stormbreaker together (along with some tasty popcorn). More updates will follow about their exciting day!!
