Science

Science in Britannia Village aims to be a practical, child led subject with opportunities for children to explore questions they have in a range of areas. We take a thematic approach to teaching where the Science curriculum supports the overarching topics being taught in each year group. Through this we aim to demonstrate the real world application of Science and showcase how it has influenced the development of our world from the Ancient Greeks right through to World War II.

We aim to develop children's ‘Science Capital’ by showing the various fields science impacts and how we can make a positive difference to society through this subject. As children move through the schools we will foster a mindset that promotes curiosity, independence and a skill set to work through problems in a scientific manner.
